Mission Statement

The Graduate Professional Council (GPC), a member of the National Association of Graduate and Professional Students (NAGPS), is the only multi-disciplinary student group that represents the graduate and professional student body at Washington University in St. Louis. We:

• Represent and advocate the mutual interests of the graduate and professional students
• Advise the faculty and administration on important academic and quality-of-life issues
• Encourage interschool and interdisciplinary cooperation within the university
• Organize campus-wide social events open to all graduate and professional students
• Support graduate and professional student organizations
• Appoint graduate students to serve on university-wide committees
• Work closely with the ProGradS committee
