The Graduate Life Committee is tasked with fulfilling our goal of broader involvement in University Policy-making where it affects Graduate Students. The Committee also hosts programs and events in the GPC Presents: series to help graduate and professional students develop.
The Bridging Gaps committee promotes networking and interactions among students from across the university by organizing a campus-wide activities fair in the fall and a leadership recognition and awards dinner in the spring. In addition to these main events, they support graduate and professional student groups on campus through numerous other activities.
The Community Service committee strives to unify the campus in a single community service goal in addition to providing networking and interaction opportunities for students from the different graduate and professional schools while accomplishing something beneficial for the community.
The Event Planning Committee strives to provide networking and interaction opportunities for students from the eight different graduate schools at Washington University in St. Louis. By and large, the Social committee is the driving force "GPC Nights out" as well as anual events such as "Night at the Symphony," "Cardinal's Baseball Game," and the GPC happy hours/networking events.
The Strategic Planning & Marketing Committee, chaired by the GPC president, addresses internal concerns of the GPC, such as structure and funding; considers constitutional amendments and other policy changes that affect the long-term future of the GPC; and develops and organizes marketing plans on behalf of the GPC.
