Dear Graduate/Professional Student Leader,

The Graduate Professional Council needs your help to identify and honor graduate and professional student leaders and graduate student groups who have made significant contributions to enhancing interschool communication among the graduate and professional students across Washington University for this year's Bridging GAPS Awards Ceremony.

Graduate and Professional Students (GAPS) are a vital part of the vibrant Washington University community. More than 6,000 graduate and professional students are enrolled in eight world-class schools: Arts & Sciences, Architecture, Art, Business, Engineering, Law, Medicine, and Social Work. In 2001, the Graduate Professional Council created awards to recognize the interaction and exchange of ideas between student groups. Bridging GAPS Awards are designed to promote communication, collaboration, networking, and community among the graduate and professional students across the Washington University campus.

We invite you to nominate graduate students that uphold these ideals. The deadline for nominations is March 10th at 5:00 pm. Details are available at http://gpc.wustl.edu/events/2008/bridginggaps/vote.html.

The 5th Bridging GAPS Awards Ceremony will formally honor these organizations and individuals, as well as provide the opportunity to network among the students and administration in attendance. Representatives from the top three nominees of each category will be invited to the Awards Ceremony on April 8th, so mark your calendars!

Sincerely,
The GPC Bridging GAPS Committee
